Kaş was known as Antiphellos in ancient times. History here isn't in a museum; it's in your daily life.
Must-See Ruins
- Hellenistic Theatre: Pristine and facing the sea. It is the only ancient theatre in Anatolia that faces the sea. It's the perfect spot for a sunset beer.
- King's Tomb (Lion Sarcophagus): You can't miss it. It's right in the middle of the main shopping street (Uzun Çarşı). A 4th-century BC Lycian sarcophagus that people walk past while eating ice cream.
- Rock Tombs: Look up at the cliffs behind the town. You'll see ancient tombs carved directly into the rock face, illuminated at night.
