Kaş doesn't have "hotel beaches." It has wild, natural, breathtaking beaches that you have to earn.
1. Kaputaş Beach
The postcard child of Turkey. Located in a canyon mouth between Kaş and Kalkan, the water here is a unique, glowing turquoise found nowhere else.
- The Challenge: You must descend (and later climb) nearly 200 steep steps. It's not for the faint of heart, but the reward is paradise.
- The Water: Cool and refreshing, fed by mountain springs. It gets deep quickly.
2. Patara Beach
18km of untouched golden sand. It feels like a desert meeting the ocean.
- The History: It's a protected national park and home to the ancient city of Patara. You can swim next to Roman ruins.
- The Turtles: This is a nesting ground for Caretta Caretta turtles. The beach closes at sunset to protect them.
3. Büyük Çakıl (Big Pebble) Beach
A short 1.5km walk or drive from Kaş center.
- The Secret: Cold fresh water springs mix with the sea here, making it incredibly refreshing even in the August heat.
- The Vibe: Laid-back. Local restaurants put tables right on the pebbles for sunset dinner.
